WordPress Integration

Follow the steps below to integrate your WordPress website with your app from BuzApps.net.

GETTING STARTED

1)Log into your App Manager and select your app.

2) Click Features from the left-hand-side of the screen (or the middle of the screen).

3) Click the WordPress icon.

Note: If we did the initial setup of your WordPress integration, do not click the WordPress icon. Instead, click the Page Title that your integration was given.

CONFIGURATION

Below is the WordPress integration screen.

WordPress URL: This is the WordPress website that you want to retrieve posts & pages from.

Group all queries into a single list:This one is a display option, in WordPress integration feature, you can build what we call “queries”. Queries are a collection of posts and/or pages. Choosing this option will group all the queries into a single list page like the picture below:

If you don’t select the option to group all queries together, then your pages/posts will be split into Categories (as they are done on your WordPress website). See the example below:

Show Cover:This option applies only when the queries are not grouped, and will toggle the Cover display on the main page.

Login / Password:If you want to access posts & pages secured by an account, input your credentials here, otherwise leave them blank.

QUERY BUILDER

Let’s build our first query. In the example below, we’ll name it “Technology”.

The query builder fetched all available categories & pages from our previously configured WordPress, we selected “Technology” which contains 76 posts for our query.

And a page query (here Contact)

DESIGN

In the design section you can upload backgrounds for the app pages.

SETTINGS

The settings section offer two options. Card Design is the first option.

The second is related to the cache lifetime. To help improve loading times and reduce load on the WordPress server, all queries are cached. However the in-app function “Pull to refresh” automatically rebuilds the cache to fetch fresh content.

Default cache lifetime is set to 1 hour.
