Our Invite A Friend feature is a Uber style invite a friend mechanism… It enables App users to refer friends and get points (or not depend on how you set it up. The feature will generate a user referral code that will be redeemed by the invited friend on the App. This feature can be used with our Progressive Loyalty and Loyalty Card features so that the app user accumulates points for the friends referred. The default sharing mechanism on iOS and Android is used with the feature so that users can invite friends with their regular messaging apps, Facebook, etc. and also invite by email address.
In short, the App User goes to the Invite section in your app and copy their Reward Code. They then click the Share Icon and send the code to their friend(s) with a personal message.
Upon the invited friend obtaining your app, the invited friend goes to the Invite screen and enters the Referral Code… Both the invite sender and receiver automatically obtain reward points! You decide the prize, discount, etc that they receive upon obtaining your specified amount of Points.
GETTING STARTED
1) Log into your App Manager and select your app.
2) Click Promote from the left-hand-side of the screen.
3) Add the url to your iOS and/or Android app. Click Save.
SETTINGS
Click Features from the left-hand-side of the screen. Next, select Invite A Friend (or whatever your Invite feature is titled).
Next, under the Settings tab, select the options that you want to use for your Invite feature.
Design – The design view that you want to use.
Enable Invite By Email – Can app users send an invite via email.
Enable Social Share Button – Choose to enable a Social Share button that app users be able to use the Social button that pulls up the default share features in iOS/Android.
Enable Social Share Icon – Choose to enable a Social Share icon that app users be able to use the Social button that pulls up the default share features in iOS/Android.
Enable Credit Points Features – Select whether or not your app users can earn Points by inviting other users to your app. You should note that if you’re going to allow the app user to earn Points, you must also offer a reward or discount of some type.
Point Credits In – If you’re enabling the Points feature, select the Points function that’s enabled in your app.
Sender (Share By) – Select if the sender would earn Points.
Receiver (Share To) – Select if the receiver of the invite will earn Points.
Terms & Conditions – Enter the Terms and Conditions for your Invite feature.
How It Works – A brief description explaining to the app user how the entire process works.
ADDING CONTENT
Click the Content tab, then the Add button to start a new offering.
Enter a Title, Description, and Image for the new offering.
Enter the text that should be used for the Invite button. Next, enter the amount of Points that the Sender and Receiver should receive. Lastly, click Submit
