The Mobile App Manager is a powerful feature that enables App Admins to manage their app directly from their phone without going to their App Manager on their computer. Using this feature, App Admins can send Push Notifications, post News, post Events, update their Gallery, and add Discounts to their app. More features are in the works!

In addition to being able to manage your app from your mobile device, App Admins can also assign users access to the Mobile Manager, create Groups that receive Push Notifications, and customize the look of the Mobile App Manager. See the instructions below for the configuration settings.

 

GETTING STARTED

1) Log into your App Manager and select your app.

2) Click Features from the left-hand-side of the screen (or the middle of the screen).

3) Click Mobile Manager.

 

APP OWNERS

 

SELECT ADMINS – The next step is to select the App Users that should be an Admin in the app.  In the App Owners tab you will see all Registered Users of your app. If you don’t have any users in the app, you can manually add the user by clicking Users from the left-hand-side of the screen.

Under the Is Owner column, mark Yes next to the Users that you want to have access to Mobile Manager in the app.

 

USER GROUPS

The User Groups section enables you to create Groups of App Members that you would like to send a Push Notification.  For example, you may want to create a Group of 10 particular App Users that should receive certain types of Notifications.

Once the Group is selected, when sending a Push Notification, simply select the created Group, and all Members added to the Group would receive the Notification.

To create a Group, simply give the Group a Name, select the Members from the list that should be added to the Group, then click Save.

 

PUSH / GALLERY / NEWS / EVENT / DISCOUNT

The Push, Gallery, News (Social Wall), Event, and Discount tabs show the information that you created for each of those respective sections.  It also shows you the App Admins that created the records, and the date that the records were created.

It’s important to note that these features will only be accessible in the Mobile Manager if they were added to your app (via the App Manager).  For example, you won’t be able to access “Discounts” in the Mobile Manager if the Discounts function was never added to your app.

Likewise, when using your Mobile Manager, you will only see the content that was added by you (or another member you added as an Admin) using the Mobile Manager from the mobile end. For example, when using the Gallery, you will only see images that were uploaded via the Mobile Manager, not all images in the Photo Gallery section of your app.

 

THEME / BACKGROUND

The Theme and Background sections enable you to customize the look of your Mobile Manager.  You can adjust the colors, icons, and add a background image.

Be sure to click Save after making your changes.

 

READ ONLY CONTENT

While in your App Manager and accessing the Mobile Manager content, the displayed information is read only.  If you need to edit the content, you must access the respective function in the App Manager.  For example, to edit the images in the Gallery, visit the Gallery section of your App Manager.
