SMTP is used most commonly by email clients, including Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and Yahoo Mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In short, an SMTP server is a basically a mail server. It receives requests and sends e-mails to the recipient. Most of the servers have basic default SMTP servers installed. It&#8217;s important not to abuse an external mail server with spam.  If so, your email server can easily get blacklisted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use the SMTP feature in your App Manager if you notice that emails from your app forms are not being received by your users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/buzapps.net\/info\/knowledgebase\/uncategorized\/send-your-app-e-mail-to-your-gmail-account\/\">Click here<\/a> if you need to import your email from your app to your Gmail account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure App Manager Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1) Go to the <strong>App Manager<\/strong>, from the left-hand-side menu, select:&nbsp;<strong>Settings and Domains and Emails<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2) Under <strong>Custom SMTP<\/strong>, check the <strong>Enable Custom SMTP<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3) Enter the <strong>requested information<\/strong>. For example: BuzApps.net<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SENDER EMAIL<\/strong> = The email address that that the receiver will see as the sender&#8217;s email. For example: appmail@yourcompany.com <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AUTH <\/strong>= The Authorization type. Most secure SMTP servers will utilize the &#8220;Log-in&#8221; option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SERVER <\/strong>= The mail server name.  For example: mail.yourcompany.com <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>USERNAME <\/strong>= The email account&#8217;s username. For example: appmail@yourcompany.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PASSWORD<\/strong> = The password to the email address used for &#8220;Username&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SSL <\/strong>= The security encryption setting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Port <\/strong>= The Port used by the SMTP server.  Often it is &#8220;465&#8221; or &#8220;587&#8221;.
