{"id":13213,"date":"2023-05-06T00:58:42","date_gmt":"2023-05-06T04:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/buzapps.net\/info\/?post_type=knowledgebase&#038;p=13213"},"modified":"2023-05-07T00:40:58","modified_gmt":"2023-05-07T04:40:58","slug":"import-export-app-feature","status":"publish","type":"knowledgebase","link":"https:\/\/buzapps.net\/info\/knowledgebase\/app-features\/import-export-app-feature\/","title":{"rendered":"Import \/ Export App Feature"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With our Import \/ Export feature, app admins can now easily share the app functions among their various apps &#8211; without having to recreate them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, lets say you had a Radio feature in one of your apps.&nbsp;After configuring the feature exactly how you like it, you could export the Radio feature, then import it into another one of your apps.&nbsp;The Imported Radio feature will poss all of the settings, etc. as in the first app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EXPORTING A FEATURE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Log into your <strong>App Manager<\/strong> and select <strong>Features<\/strong> from the left-hand-side of the screen (or the middle of the screen).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click the Feature (app page) that you want to export.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NOTE: Currently, not all features are available for export.&nbsp;As we update this function more app functions will be available for exporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the feature can be exported, you\u2019ll see an&nbsp;<strong>Export<\/strong>&nbsp;button on the top-right corner, click on it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below is an example with the Radio feature :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon exporting the feature, you will receive an&nbsp;<strong>\u201cyml\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;file named&nbsp;<strong>\u201cradio-{date}.yml\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>yml*<\/strong>&nbsp;stands for YAML it\u2019 the export format we use for large payloads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/buzapps.net\/pages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/knowledgebase_export_01.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/buzapps.net\/pages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/knowledgebase_export_01.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>IMPORT A FEATURE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While in your App Manager (in the Features section), click the Import button on the top-right-side of the page.&nbsp;Select the&nbsp;<strong>yml<\/strong>&nbsp;file to import.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll see the screen like the one below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/buzapps.net\/pages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/knowledgebase_export_02.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/buzapps.net\/pages\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/knowledgebase_export_02.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the upload process is complete, reload the Features section by clicking <strong>Features<\/strong>.
